The Blacksmith

I really liked the history hill.  I think it was awesome.  My favorite part about history hill was the blacksmith.  I’m thinking about being a blacksmith someday.  It seems fun, awesome, and helpful.  It’s helpful because you could make door handles or you could make lots of decorations or maybe millions of toy cars.  I just think blacksmithing is the best job ever, but really dangerous!

The food was also great.  I could smell the sausage and cheeseburgers and the hot dogs.  All of the foods smelled so good.  I got to eat a cheeseburger plus candy from the old-fashioned store.  I hope to try fried oreos someday.

So far this was my favorite field trip I have ever been on!  I love the Tunbridge Fair!

Hope

I want to go to the Redwood Forest someday because it sounds awesome.  I love that President Roosevelt made people share the California mountains, so we have the National Parks now.  I love mountains sooooo much!

It’s Okay

It’s okay to go sledding!

It’s okay to be funny!

It’s okay to be famous!

It’s okay to brave!

It’s okay to be a teacher!

It’s okay to be a parent!

It’s okay to be new!

It’s okay to be a leader!

It’s okay to be patient!

It’s okay to be sad!

It’s okay to sing!

Moon Poem

The moon shivers with ice.

The moon has eyeballs that rumble.

The moon has thin ice cream asa hair.

The moon has cold toenails.

The moon is very cold and does not have teeth,

But it has a mouth that is bigger than a horse.

The mon has lumps like meatballs.

The moon is dark and cold.

The moon has gold eyeballs that shine when it walks in space.

The moon is a rich, floating mansion in the stars.

Things about 1848

If I were alive in 1848, I would stay at home and be a farmer.  I would grow crops for the gold diggers.  That’s nice, right?  Some went there to the West and didn’t get the gold because some got there first and got all the gold.  Some died from fasting.  It sure would be fun being a farmer in California.  I would eat the food I grew too.  It would be fun digging for gold too, but I decided to be a farmer.  The tools I would use would be a rake, a hoe, and a harvesting tool.  The animal I would use on my farm would be a cow, a very strong cow with horns.

Biography Puppet Script: Martin Luther King, Jr.

My color doesn’t matter.  I can still do anything!  I should be able to stay at a hotel.  I should be able to talk to anyone of any color.  I should be able to play with anyone of any color.  I can help white people understand this.

I wanted to change the rules that made white people more important than black people in our country.  I said, “Don’t judge people by the color of their skin but by their character.”  This was his dream.  So all people should have all rights.

He went on walks to protest the things that were wrong, and sometimes people even threw rocks at him for his beliefs.  He did not fight, but kept walking along.
